On January 25th, the Haikou City Educational Architecture International Competition held its design review and press conference at the Yundong Library in Haikou, Hainan Island.
This event marked the first phase of the Seatide Plan, an initiative focused on developing a series of innovative educational projects to establish new standards in educational architecture.
During the conference, 12 design teams shared their ideas to a jury of renowned architects, planners, and educational experts.
Crossboundaries presented their design for Changtian Middle School, envisioning a learning environment that extends beyond traditional classrooms, aiming for a more open and adaptable campus layout.
The Seatide Plan is a key program organized by the Haikou Municipal People’s Government, supported by the Natural Resources and Planning Bureau and the Education Bureau, with additional organizational assistance from the Beijing Institute of Architectural Design (BIAD).
